Know yourself. Honor your boundaries. Heal with compassion.
Psychotherapy for adults in Texas struggling with relationships, phase-of-life challenges, addiction, and overly active inner critics
We cannot always control what life brings our way, but we can work to shift our relationship to the inevitable struggles that we encounter. I have experienced the transformational change that comes with accepting the circumstances that cannot be changed while also making changes where it may not have previously felt possible. It is my privilege to walk alongside clients in their pursuit of self-discovery and acceptance.
Connecting with someone and having the privilege of hearing their story has always brought me a deep sense of joy, and I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is absolutely essential. I utilize a variety of modalities depending on a client’s needs, and my focus is on the cultivation of mindful awareness, healthy boundaries, and self-compassion. I offer trauma-informed relational therapy and often utilize EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, attachment theory, and family systems theory.
We cannot change things that are outside of our awareness, and we cannot grow without first accepting where we are in our journey. The things that we seek to change about ourselves are not “weaknesses;” in fact, the very behaviors and beliefs that are no longer serving us now may have been necessary survival defenses at one point in life. My goal is to help you understand where in life you developed those behaviors/beliefs, how they have shaped you, and how they can be shifted into a more healthy, adaptive approach moving forward.

About Me
I am a proud native Houstonian. I graduated from The University of Texas in Austin before receiving my master’s degree in social work from The University of Houston’s Graduate College of Social Work. I gained most of my experience working with those impacted by addiction and codependency at an outpatient treatment facility. I feel most fulfilled and grounded when spending time with friends, family, and my beloved pets (a few of whom make frequent appearances in my Telehealth sessions, like the dedicated co-therapists they are).
